Kylie Spies
Kylie is a social worker specializing in public policy and participatory research, with an emphasis on state taxation and budget. As a former public school teacher and adult educator, she uses data and storytelling to connect policy to people. In addition to advocating for adequate, equitably raised state revenue, Kylie is interested in public health, economic stability, safe and connected communities, and other drivers of child and family well-being.
Kylie holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Drake University and Master of Social Work from the University of Iowa. In her free time she enjoys creative activities such as sewing and knitting, home DIY, and being outside tending to her garden and chickens.
